About the role:

We’re looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer with a passion for building technical tools and scalable design systems. You will be responsible for building UI features, integrations, tools, and custom single page applications. You have a deep understanding of UI principles, an understanding of user experience, and the skill and drive to build scalable single page web applications.Besides, you will be able to develop, troubleshoot and maintain corresponding backend services that power Kong Konnect Platform when there’s need.
What you'll do:
  • Design and implement frontend solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity using TypeScript and Vue.js
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend service related issues
  • Working cross-functionally with other teams to deliver technical solution and a consistent user experience
  • Deliver high-quality software by writing automated tests
  • Support production by participating in an on-call rotation
    • What you'll bring:
  • 6+ years of experience writing JavaScript, and a history of using TypeScript in production
  • Knowledge of Vue.js or a proven history of learning new technologies quickly
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills, to collaborate effectively with design, product, and engineering teams
  • Understanding of and development with git and Github workflows
  • Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing
    • Bonus Points:
  • Experience with backend software development
  • Experience of Go programming language
  • Experience with data modeling in relational databases and no-SQL databases
  • Experience designing, prototyping, building and debugging microservices architectures and distributed systems
  • Experience working on technical products and data visualizations
  • Contributions to a UI component library
  • Experience with NGINX/OpenResty/Kong/LuaJIT
