About the role:
You will be working at a hectic and fast paced Startup as a member of the Professional Services Field Engineering team. This team is responsible for interfacing with our customers on billable projects as well as producing tooling, white papers and other marketing content.
As a member of the Professional Services Field Engineering team you will act as a pathfinder for our largest and most critical customers. Helping establish, implement and customize API Connectivity platforms that process hundreds of billions of transactions globally.
In this role you will have the opportunity to interface with everyone in the customer environment from Developers to Executives and represent Kong culture and values everyday.
This is one of the most technically challenging roles in the industry, and working at Kong presents a unique opportunity to combine that challenge with helping to modernize enterprise software and learn about how businesses run in the digital age.
Above all you’ll be acting as a stellar teammate for the rest of Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Serve as a subject matter expert in API management, providing guidance and expertise to clients and internal teams on best practices, solution design, and implementation strategies.
Solution Design and Implementation
Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Kong Solutions (Kong Gateway, Konnect, Service Mesh, Insomnia).
Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and technical requirements, and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to clients and internal teams, resolving issues and ensuring the stability and performance.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering, to drive successful project delivery and contribute to product development initiatives. Share knowledge and expertise through training sessions, documentation, and best practice guidelines.
Continuous Improvement
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API management, continuously improving skills and capabilities to drive innovation and excellence in solution delivery.
