PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our diverse, customer-centric technology company and be a part of our growing and expanding CSIT Ops team.
As a key part in CSIT Ops, you will play a key role in bringing both fullstack technical skills and senior leadership to the team, building our new status pages for our global enterprise customer base and leading PagerDuty Status Page to a best in class function.

As a Software Engineer at PagerDuty, you’ll be part of a team that’s intensely focused on our customers and the engineering community. We design, build, and run robust systems that extend and enhance our amazing products. Of course, we use our own products ourselves!

Key Responsibilities:
- From day one, you’ll be designing, coding, testing, and shipping features and libraries that ensure we deliver secure, highly reliable, and scalable solutions to our customers.
- You’ll be involved in mentoring and teaching other engineers, both on your team and across PagerDuty ProdDev.
- Developing architecture patterns that scale across the engineering organization and provide a better user and developer experience.
- Writing unit and integration tests.
- Owning and shepherding projects that our team takes on.
- Creating alignment among various stakeholders about recommended technical solutions.
- Participating in an on-call rotation and triaging/addressing production issues as they arise.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of development experience overall with strong Technical Leadership executing complex projects.
- Strong knowledge about core parts of frontend engineering (state management, performance, accessibility, styling, infrastructure).
- Empathy - you can clearly communicate your thoughts and opinions to others and facilitate these technical discussions to a successful outcome.
- You have the drive to get results without letting anything get in your way and work autonomously when needed with a customer-first mindset and approach.
- You are a confident decision-maker.
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have a strong track record of building and managing web apps using React and/or similar Frontend frameworks like Angular, Vue.js. Typescript knowledge would be a plus.
- Strong track record experience building secure and scalable backend services with REST API leveraging modern technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, Serverless Functions, using SQL and/or NoSQL databases etc.
- Knowledge or experience with SSO Protocol, and OpenID or SAML implementations is a plus.

- Public cloud engineering on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP platforms.
- You are comfortable with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to clarify questions, share your approach, and collaborate with the rest of the team to build/test elegant solutions.
- Past experience in a full stack role is a plus.
