Overview of the Role:
PagerDuty is seeking a motivated and experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the Solutions Consulting organization, you will be instrumental in driving technical engagements with enterprise customers, providing strategic guidance, and architecting solutions that leverage PagerDuty's platform to address complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with our sales and product teams to deliver compelling workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept that showcase PagerDuty's value proposition to potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Work closely with sales and service delivery teams to understand customer requirements and propose scalable solutions leveraging PagerDuty's platform.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer business objectives and design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions using PagerDuty's platform. Ensure solutions align with customer requirements, industry best practices, and PagerDuty's capabilities.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of IT operations, incident response, and modern software development practices. Act as a subject matter expert on PagerDuty's capabilities and integrations. Advanced Technical Knowledge of AI/ML, Observability, Chaos Engineering, xOC, Automation and Orchestration.
- Consultative Selling: Partner with sales executives to provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to closing. Tailor presentations, demonstrations, workshops and proofs of concept to align with customer needs.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with senior technical stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, Architects) to build strategic relationships and address their technical challenges effectively.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to convey customer requirements and influence product roadmap decisions.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to continuously improve expertise and provide thought leadership.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a pre-sales or solutions architect role within the enterprise software industry, with a strong background in IT operations management, incident response, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), ITSM/DevOps tools, microservices architectures, and APIs. Experience with enterprise-scale deployments and integrations is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of architecting innovative solutions to meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Advanced certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, workshops, and industry events.

The base salary range for this position is 188,000 - 259,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
