Interview Process

1. Hiring Manager Sync (30 mins), discussing candidate's background 2. Executive Interview (30 mins, Engineering Managers only) - Talk with the CEO to learn about company vision. 3. Tech Screen (60-75 minutes, no coding) - Project exploration : Diving into a recent project the candidate has worked on, talking about different tech decisions and trade-offs made. Also discuss lessons learned and more. System Design: Using a feature we've already built, we'll ask you how you might go about building it. How would you design it? What trade-offs are important to you? Managers: Discuss a project you recently led a team through and we'll spend time in system design talking about how the work might be parallelized, broken down, etc 4. Product Interview (30-45 min) - Convo focused on how the candidate views the engineering/PM relationship and how they bring customer focus to their work 5. Hiring Manager Interview (45 min) : For Engineering managers - questions covering candidate's management philosophy and approach. For Individual Contributors: Questions covering how you work with your colleagues. How you resolve conflicts, actions you take to foster a safe and inclusive environment. 6. Optional interview for individual contributors (read Step 2)

Salary

$155,000 - $200,000.

Who You Are:

You love building computer systems. You enjoy troubleshooting deeply technical software and operating systems issues. You are passionate about making software faster, more reliable and easier to use for end users. You have significant experience and knowledge of Linux systems. You have worked with optimizing software for CPU, GPU architectures.  You understand how to benchmark software performance and have experience building infrastructure and tooling for this. 

What Excites You:

  • Being part of the team responsible for building video intelligence edge devices that run our video processing and AI workloads
  • Owning complex software development projects from design, implementation, testing and delivery.
  • Rapid prototyping for building new product ideas and features
  • Setup benchmarks and analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
  • Solving problems of scale as we go from thousands of edge devices to tens of thousands of devices. 

What Gets Our Attention:

  • At least 5 years of software development experience. Experience with Go is preferred and familiarity with Rust is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience with troubleshooting and debugging Linux systems. Experience with Yocto or other embedded Linux environments is a big plus.
  • Experience with CPU/GPU performance measurement and tuning
  • Leveraging CI/CD systems and testing infrastructure
  • Experience with building resilient, distributed systems is desirable
  • Familiarity with building systems for AI/ML processing is a plus

What’s In It For You:

  • Base Salary Range: $155,000 - $200,000. Offered salary will be based on the offered candidate’s demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidate’s geographical location within the United States.  Your recruiting partner can share more details about the compensation range as it relates to your geography once your interview process has begun.
